Kelly Fast, CMT
Kelly's dedication is evident as she is a certified member of the American Association of Medical Transcription and served as a board member of the Illinois Association for Medical Transcription for 5 years. She attends nationally sponsored workshops and events with AAMT and the Medical Transcription Industry Alliance to stay up to date with changes in technology and the practice of medical transcription. In 1997 and 1998, Kelly was a member of the American Society for Testing and Materials Subcommittee on Health Information Transcription and Documentation. Through her efforts on this committee, she helped draft national ASTM standards which are now in place. Those standards include: Standard Guide for Requests for Proposals Regarding Medical Transcription Services for Healthcare Institutions and Standard Guide for Management of Confidentiality and Security of Dictation, Transcription and Transcribed Health Records. Kelly graduated magna cum laude from Quincy University with the class of 2000, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. She was a member of the Deans List and received a Certificate of Academic Achievement. For 2003, Kelly was appointed to the Exam Development Team for the Medical Transcription Certification Commission of American Association for Medical Transcription where she helped draft the new electronic version of the CMT Exam. And if that isn't enough, Kelly loves her life with her husband Roger, their two sons, two cats and three horses! She's working hard to learn how to hit a golf ball straight and raises American Quarter Horses for competition! |
